The hostess, Radka Nedeva, known as Granny Radka, is the living advertisement of Bulgarian folklore, cuisine, traditions and hospitality. She has turned her house into a museum, with hand-made costumes, shirts and mummers' masks on the walls. Another curiosity is a loom of historic value. Back

The antique fortress on cape St. Atanas, entirely restored in 2013, is the most important early Christian complex researched so far, and comprises a three-naved, single apse basilica with a narthex, three christening rooms, a well for holy water, a dwelling for the chief priest, two kilns for ceramic objects and a winery. A great celebration is held annually on May 2nd on cape St. Atanas, in the fortress. The most important event of the celebrations is a procession with icons from the church St. Paraskeva to cape St. Atanas. The celebrations also include fire-walkers and folklore dances, as well as tasting traditional fish dishes. Back
